Materials

Artisan Screen Process. works with all blow moldable polymers. Our engineers can select engineering specifications from a database of over twenty thousand materials. The following pages include examples of items made with the underlined materials. If you have a specific material/application in mind, please CONTACT US.

  • Polyethylene [HDPE,MDPE,LDPE]
High Density Polyethylene, Medium Density Polyethylene and Low Density Polyethylene are the materials most commonly used In Extrusion Blow Molding and are least costly.
A polyolefin composed of polymers of ethylene which is usually a translucent, tough, waxy solid unaffected by water and a large range of chemicals.  Low density, medium density, and high density are the three general classifications of Polyethylene.
High Density- Rigid Containers / Bottles / Industrial Components / Toys / Etc.
Medium Density- Rigid Containers / Semi Rigid Containers / Bottles/ Etc.
Low Density- Soft Containers / Bellows /Bladders /Squeeze Bottles / Etc.
Linear Low Density- Soft Containers / Squeeze Bottles / Improved Properties
  • Poly Vinyl Chloride [PVC]
Poly Vinyl Chloride is the most commonly used amorphous material. "Glass clear",  Poly Vinyl Chloride has a multitude of packaging applications and is the least costly clear resin.
A thermoplastic substance made up of vinyl chloride; a colorless solid with prominent resistance to alcohol, water, and concentrated acids and alkalies.  Classified as: Plasticized and Unplasticized.
Poly Vinyl Chloride- Clear, Opaque & Translucent (when pigmented) Packaging Items , Jars , Toys
  • Polypropylene [PP]
Contact clarity and high heat deflection are two properties of Polypropylene. Applications include hot filled foods and cosmetics. Other benefits include high heat resistance, steam sterilizable and dishwasher safe.
A tough, lightweight rigid plastic made by the polymerization high-purity propylene gas in the presence of an organometallic catalyst at relatively low pressures and temperatures.
Polypropylene- Jars , Bottles, Closures, Toys, Baby Products
  • Polycarbonate [PC]
An engineering resin, Polycarbonate exhibits optical clarity, high heat deflection, and high durability.
Polymers derived from direct reaction between aromatic and aliphatic dihydroxy compounds with phosgene or by the ester exchange reaction with appropriate phosgene-derived precursors.
    Polycarbonate- Bottles, Pumps, Handles
  • Glycol Modified Polyethylene Terephathalate [PETG]
Glycol Modified Polyethylene Terephathalate is a co-polymer of polyethylene terephathalate that does not require special orientation to be clear. PETG has beautiful clarity and gloss low odor for sensitive contents. In addition has typical affections.
A co-polymer of polyethylene terephthalate that does not require special orientation to be clear.  It can be processed utilizing conventional extrusion blow molding methods.  The oxygen and water transmission rated are not as good as those PET.
